Post Water Mint?
When we were there over the weekend my oldest daughter gave me something she called water mint. I brought it home and put the roots in the water of the little tub in the middle of the Herb garden and it is doing just great. I really like it. Anybody know what plant it might be? The leaves have to stay out of the water but roots in the water.

CWC thats what I got when I googled Water mint but the pics I got don't look like my plants. Mine have a white border on the leaves.
Tried taking pics but no luck yet :)

Here's a not very good pic of my plant. You can just barely see the white edging.

Did you ever get a solid id on this plant, Carol?

No Dino I didn't.
It does have a mint shaped leaf so I would guess it is some relative. Even though it doesn't look like
Mentha aquatica it is probably some cultivar of that plant.
She (daughter) checked and this time she was told it was water violets now we both KNOW IT'S NOT water violets because the leaves of water violets are really fern like. It's in the milfoil family. I guess I will just enjoy it and not worry about it :) It's multiplying nicely too.
